Notification Preferences

Manage your notification settings to stay informed without being overwhelmed.

Notification Channels​

Email Notifications​

Sent to your registered email:

  • Always received (if enabled)
  • Good for important updates
  • Available offline

Push Notifications​

Browser/device notifications:

  • Real-time alerts
  • Requires permission
  • Only when online

In-App Notifications​

Shown within tagd-ai:

  • Bell icon in header
  • Notification center
  • Persists until cleared

Accessing Notification Settings​

  1. Click your avatar → Settings
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Or go directly to Account → Notifications

Email Notification Settings​

Tag Notifications​

Configure for tag-related events:

Push Notification Settings​

Enable Push Notifications​

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Click Enable Push Notifications
  3. Browser asks for permission
  4. Click Allow
  5. Configure which events trigger push

Push Notification Types​

Select which trigger notifications:

  • Shared tag activity
  • Real-time collaboration
  • Important alerts
  • Scan notifications

Quiet Hours​

Set times when push is silenced:

  1. Go to Push Notifications → Quiet Hours
  2. Set start and end times
  3. Choose days (weekdays, weekends, all)
  4. Emergency notifications still come through

In-App Notifications​

Notification Center​

Access via bell icon:

  • Shows recent notifications
  • Mark as read/unread
  • Clear all notifications
  • Link to relevant items

Notification Badge​

The badge count shows:

  • Unread notifications
  • Updates to number on badge
  • Reset to zero when cleared

Notification Preferences​

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Under In-App, configure:
    • Show notification toasts
    • Toast duration
    • Notification sound

Per-Tag Notifications​

Custom Settings per Tag​

Override defaults for specific tags:

  1. Open the tag
  2. Go to Settings → Notifications
  3. Choose:
    • Default - Use account settings
    • All - Notify on all changes
    • Mentions - Only when mentioned
    • None - No notifications for this tag

Mute a Tag​

Temporarily silence notifications:

  1. Open the tag
  2. Click ⋮ → Mute Notifications
  3. Choose duration:
    • 1 hour
    • 8 hours
    • 24 hours
    • Until turned off

Digest Settings​

Daily Digest​

Receive a summary instead of individual emails:

  1. Go to Notifications → Email Frequency
  2. Select Daily Digest
  3. Choose delivery time
  4. All non-urgent notifications bundled

Weekly Digest​

For lower volume:

  1. Select Weekly Digest
  2. Choose day and time
  3. Week's activity summarized

Instant​

Receive immediately as events happen:

  1. Select Instant
  2. Each event sends individual email

Do Not Disturb​

Enable DND​

Pause all notifications temporarily:

  1. Click bell icon → Do Not Disturb
  2. Select duration
  3. All notifications paused
  4. Notifications queued for later

Scheduled DND​

Set recurring quiet periods:

  1. Go to Notifications → Schedule
  2. Add DND periods
  3. Recurs daily/weekly
  4. Critical alerts can bypass

Troubleshooting​

Not Receiving Emails​

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Verify email address is correct
  3. Check notification is enabled
  4. Add tagd-ai.com to contacts
  5. Check email isn't bouncing

Push Not Working​

  1. Check browser permissions
  2. Ensure notifications enabled in OS
  3. Try disabling and re-enabling
  4. Check browser is updated
  5. Try different browser

Too Many Notifications​

  1. Use digest mode
  2. Mute busy tags
  3. Disable non-essential categories
  4. Set up quiet hours
  5. Review and unsubscribe from updates

Notifications Delayed​

  • Email can have 1-5 minute delay
  • Push should be near-instant
  • Check internet connection
  • Server issues may cause delay

Mobile Notifications​

iOS​

  1. Install tagd-ai PWA
  2. Go to iOS Settings → Notifications
  3. Find tagd-ai
  4. Enable notifications
  5. Configure sounds and badges

Android​

  1. Install tagd-ai PWA
  2. Android prompts for permission
  3. Allow notifications
  4. Configure in Android settings
