Printer Setup

Connect thermal label printers for efficient QR code printing directly from tagd-ai.

Supported Printers​

Thermal Printers​

  • Zebra - ZD series, GK series, GC series
  • Brother - QL series
  • DYMO - LabelWriter series
  • Rollo - Shipping label printers
  • TSC - Desktop printers

Standard Printers​

Any printer accessible via browser print works for:

  • Label sheets
  • Standard paper
  • Sticker paper

Browser-Based Printing​

No Setup Required​

Print using browser's print dialog:

  1. Open QR code in tagd-ai
  2. Click Print
  3. Select your printer
  4. Adjust settings
  5. Print

Configure in print dialog:

  • Paper size
  • Orientation
  • Scale/margins
  • Color/grayscale

Direct Printer Integration​

Zebra Browser Print​

For Zebra printers:

  1. Download Zebra Browser Print
  2. Install on your computer
  3. Connect your Zebra printer
  4. In tagd-ai: Settings → Printers → Add Printer
  5. Select "Zebra Browser Print"
  6. Choose your printer
  7. Configure label size

Setting Up​

1. Install Zebra Browser Print software
2. Connect printer via USB or network
3. Printer appears in tagd-ai automatically
4. Select and configure

Common Label Sizes​

Custom Sizes​

  1. Go to Settings → Printers
  2. Click on your printer
  3. Click Add Label Size
  4. Enter dimensions
  5. Save

Printing Workflow​

Single QR Code​

  1. Open tag
  2. Click QR Code → Print
  3. Select printer
  4. Choose label template
  5. Print

Bulk Printing​

Print multiple at once:

  1. Select tags in dashboard
  2. Click Bulk Actions → Print QR Codes
  3. Select printer
  4. Choose template
  5. Set quantity per tag
  6. Start print job

Monitor print jobs:

  1. Go to Settings → Printers
  2. View Print Queue
  3. See status of each job
  4. Cancel or reprint if needed

QR Code Options​

  • Size on label

Label Options​

  • Add tag title

Troubleshooting​

Printer Not Detected​

  1. Check printer connection
  2. Verify driver installed
  3. Restart printer
  4. Restart tagd-ai
  5. Check browser permissions

Poor Print Quality​

  1. Clean print head
  2. Use correct label type
  3. Adjust print darkness
  4. Check label alignment

Labels Jamming​

  1. Check label loading
  2. Verify correct label size
  3. Clean printer rollers
  4. Check for debris

QR Code Not Scanning​

  1. Increase QR code size
  2. Check print darkness
  3. Use higher quality labels
  4. Clean scanner lens

Maintenance​

Printer Care​

  • Clean print head regularly
